Junior Kindergarten Through Thematic Learning
Your child receives focused instruction across all subject areas within each theme. During our “Transport theme”, for example, phonics work focuses on transport vocabulary and letter sounds, mathematics involves counting wheels and sorting vehicles by size, science explores how engines work and what makes things move, drama activities include acting out different journeys, and music and movement features transport songs with coordinated actions.
You’ll watch your child learn systematic phonics through letter-sound correspondence and blending practice. They’ll develop mathematical thinking through number recognition, counting, patterns, and problem-solving activities. Science investigations build observation and analytical skills through structured experiments. Drama instruction strengthens language and confidence through guided role-playing. Music and movement education supports brain development through rhythm work and coordinated activities.
Mindfulness practices are integrated throughout all subjects, helping your child develop skills such as kindness, empathy, courage, compassion and self-love, which we believe are needed for academic success in formal school settings.
Modern, Junior Kindergarten
Our junior kindergarten program combines structured learning with mindful teaching practices and engaging thematic units that capture children’s interest. We believe in preparing children for school through direct instruction in essential skills while keeping learning engaging and age-appropriate.
Your child will learn through a balanced curriculum that includes dedicated time for phonics, math, and reading. We fill our classrooms with materials that support the different ways children learn. Our teachers guide this learning in a manner that keeps your kids engaged and growing.
Our goal is to foster an environment where your children can develop a strong foundation of academic, creative, and social skills that they can carry into the next level of their education. We aim to create a warm, supportive space where your child feels safe to try new things, make mistakes and try again.
Kindergarten Readiness: Social, Thinking, Self-help Skills
We prepare your child for kindergarten by focusing on the social, reasoning, and academic skills they need to succeed. Starting school is a big step, and we want to help make sure your child feels ready for it.
In our child care environment, we help children:
- Work together and solve problems with friends
- Think things through during activities
- Do things independently & collaboratively
- Listen to instructions and become familiar with classroom routines
- Manage their feelings constructively and build friendships
We create a strong foundation that helps your child feel confident when they start school. Through hands-on activities and daily practice, we support each child’s growth at their own pace.
Reading & Writing Foundations (2.5-5)
When your child reaches this age, we start building reading and writing skills through engaging daily activities. We help children recognize sounds in words, connect letters to sounds, and begin writing through songs, practising their names, and listening to stories. We teach them to notice print around them and learn new words in fun ways.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Does Your Program Differ From Other Daycares?
We’re not a typical day care – we operate a full-day academic program with a preschool component that systematically teaches five core subjects for ages 2.5-5. While other centres focus on free play or basic care, we provide structured instruction in phonics, mathematics, science, music and movement, and drama through our thematic learning approach. Each theme connects all subjects meaningfully – for example, ‘Weather’ includes weather vocabulary phonics, temperature mathematics, cloud science experiments, weather drama stories, and storm music activities. Our mindfulness integration develops the focus and emotional regulation essential for academic success in formal school settings.
