Contemporary Kids & Mindfulness

 

Our lives are becoming increasingly busy; work, travel, full schedules and an abundance of technology. Many of us are struggling to wind down, get to sleep, and we never really feel like we are living in the moment. It is essential we start taking the time to enjoy the pure beauty life has to offer. Living mindlessly and acting unconsciously eventually takes an effect on our health (physically, mentally and spiritually), but it can also begin to affect the people around us, particularly our children. I believe mindfulness and tools to identify with your emotions can be introduced at a young age.

 In the early years childhood brain development is rapidly growing, in fact it is developing faster than at any other time in their life. This is when the foundations for learning, health and behaviour throughout life are laid down. The importance of instilling mindfulness and emotional skills such as KINDNESS, EMPATHY, COURAGE, COMPASSION AND SELF-LOVE at a young age are of upmost importance. Laying these foundations can set your child up for a positive, successful and self-directed life. Children will be nurtured to practice self love and mindfulness thinking as part of our carefully designed program.
